<h2>Laoag City Description</h2>
<p>Laoag City is a hideaway at the northeastern tip of Luzon Island, Philippines. Laoag is an Iloko word meaning &#8220;bright&#8221; that highlights the provinces&#8217; tourism,  education, commerce and trade  of Northern Luzon.  Laoag City is blessed with wide plains,  clean beaches, panoramic sunsets,  and fresh air. Laoag City&#8217;s cost of living is low.  Temperature ranges from 23 to 35 degrees Celsius. According to the latest  census, it has a population of 94,466 people in 19,751 households.</p>
<h2>Laoag City Attraction</h2>
<p>Laoag City&#8217;s celebrates it&#8217;s Pamulinawen Festival every February 10th, the feast of St. William the Hermit.  Laoag City is famous for the historical Sinking Bell Tower located at the front left of the St. William&#8217;s Cathedral, facing the Tobacco Monopoly Monument that was built in commemoration to the lifting of the Tobacco Monopoly in the north during the Spanish period. The approaching facade to the city of Laoag is the magnificent Gilbert Bridge. At the foot of the bridge is the Laoag City Hall, an Italian inspired structure made of bricks. Beside the Laoag City Hall is the Marcos Hall of Justice,  the prison cell of the late President Ferdinand Marcos when he was accused of murder. Laoag City also has a 5-star Hotel, a casino and an 18-hole Golf Course, situated at the Sand Dunes National Park. Laoag City Public Market sells longganisa (Native Sausage), cornik (crispy fried corn) empanada, bagnet (crispy pork). and basi (native sugarcane wine).</p>
<h2>Laoag City Location</h2>
<p>Laoag City  is the capital city of the province of Ilocos Norte.  The municipalities of San Nicolas, Paoay, Sarrat, Vintar and Bacarra form its boundaries. The foothills of the Sierra Madre mountain range to the east, and the  South China to the west are its physical boundaries. Laoag City is n 8-hour drive by car or a 45-minute trip by plane from Manila.</p>
