The terrain of Lipa City is characterized with rolling hills, plateaus and low mountains.

Lipa City is bounded Santo Tomas in the northeast, San Pablo City and San Antonio in the east, Padre Garcia and Rosario in the southeast, and Ibaan and San Jose in the southwest, Cuenca and Mataas Na Kahoy and Taal Lake in the west and the Balete and Malvar in the northwest.

Lipa City’s location, in a valley located between  Mount Malarayat and Mount Makulot, makes this city protected in times of typhoon. Lipa City is 78 kms south of Manila, reachable in three hours on a bus.
