
Koronadal City is also known as Marbel. Koronadal City is the capital of South Cotabato in Southern Philippines. According to the 2000 census, Koronadal City had a population of 133,786 people. In 2007, Koronadal City was hailed “Most Competitive City” in the small-city category. Koronadal City has a secret – dark and narrow tunnels leading to the chambers of Cadidang Caves, with age-old legends of indigenous people’s settlement revolving around it. Within Koronodal City, there are a couple of waterfalls to visit. El Gawel, also in Koronadal City, has a watershed that is ideal for nature lovers who want to walk under the shades of trees. While in Koronadal City, you should also check out the huge rock formations in Barangay Cacub.

Koronadal City is situated in the northeastern part of South Cotabato. Bound in the northwest by Tantangan, Koronadal City counts among its neighbors Sultan Kudarat in the northeast, Banga in the southwest, Tupi and Tampakan on the southeast.
Koronadal City is a fertile valley nestled between the Roxas Mountain Range on the southwest and Quezon Mountain Range on the northeast.
From General Santos, Koronadal City can be accessed through 56 kms of land travel passing by towns and fields. Koronadal City also connects to Cotabato City with 136 kms of distance between them.
