Caloocan City Attractions

Caloocan City’s most celebrated landmark is Monumento. At the tip Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA), this sculpture by national artist Guillermo Tolentino of Philippine revolutionary Andres Bonifacio was was erected in 1933. A house in Caloocan City witnessed the secret meetings of Bonifacio and Katipunan – the guerrilla movement that caused the Philippine Revolution. It was also within Caloocan City soil that the initial armed conflict between the Philippine revolutionaries and Spanish colonizers took place.

The northern end of Light Rail Transit also lies in Caloocan City.

Caloocan City Location

Caloocan City divides into South and North. Southern Caloocan City lies directly north of the City of Manila and is bounded by Malabon City and Valenzuela City to the north and west, Navotas to the west, and Quezon City to the east. Northern Caloocan City is the northernmost territory of Metro Manila; it lies east of Valenzuela City, north of Quezon City, and south of San Jose del Monte City in the province of Bulacan.
