    Hello Tarik,

This does not represent the idea of philippinetravel.ws. I find your comment to be catchy and so as your surname–I just hope to enlighten you.
1 – If the real city name is ( Bayawan ) why sometimes written ( Bawayan ) ?
It’s Bayawan City in Negros Occidental, Philippines. Why sometimes written as Bawayan? A simple misspelling.:)

2 – Why Persons from Bayawan changed thier family name from ( Bayawan ) to ( Bawayan )Its a personal choice which I cannot explain why.

3 – Are there any realation or links between ( Bawayan ) island indonesia and ( Bayawan or Bawayan ) city ? I don’t think so, unless we have the same context for “Bayaw” which could POSSIBLY be the root word for Bayawan. In the Philippines, BAYAW is a term for “brother-in-law”–common to almost all dialects including Tagalog or Filipino.

4 – Do the people in both location ( Indonesia and Philippines have the roots or commom history?
Yes we do. We both come from the Malay race.:)
Especially in Northern Luzon, I bet you understand some terms in their dialect. Their are also families in Northern Luzon whose family name is Bawayan. I can walk you to them. With regards to our names, we usually carry the name of our great forefathers as a surname. But, the first name sounds either Spanish(Juan) or American(John). A better example of an American name for a Filipino is HENLEY TADE.:)
