Bais City, Philippines

Bais City Description

Bais City, like any part of Negros, is sugarland. Two sugar mills are in Bais City. Connected to other points in Negros, Bais City gathers people into its terrain of plains and mountains.

Bais City Attraction

Bais City is known for nearby Tanon Strait, a protected marine sanctuary. Boats from Capinahan Wharf in South Bay head out to Bais Bay into Tanon Strait where one can watch dolphins dance and whales surface from the deep. Swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling and scuba diving is a great experience while in Bais City.

Pelarta River runs right abreast Bais City center.

Near Bais City, Manjuyod White Sand Bar beckons its fair share of tourists. A 7 km stretch of white sand in an island revealed only during low tide, this island houses native wooden abodes built on stilts – appearing afloat during high tide. If you’re lucky enough, the skies orchestrate a swirl of white, blue, orange, red and purple with an interplay of sky, sea, sun and clouds.

Bais City Location

Bais City is in Negros Oriental province. From the provincial capital Dumaguete, Bais City is 45 kms away. From Bacolod, Bais City can also be reached through a five hour bus ride passing by coastal shores, sugarcane fields, and mountains outlined far into the horizon.
