I think the comparison between Philippines and Thailand is a little bit not fair or unfair!

I find thai as Phil. and you guys have to admit that Filipinos look better than Thais! but thai is more flawless than Phil’s…

we are even more intelligent…

but I like thai movies!

Yes im a philipino both countries are good but i think philipines were i live is a country for people who are very freindly and kind. You will always make friends in philipines.

I was born and raised in Scotland then lived in England but for the last fifteen year’s i lived in Newport beach LA during that time in America i met my wife who is filipino i went to visit her family in the Philippines and from the moment i arrived i new the filipino people are the most loving and friendliest people anyone could ever wish to meet i now have a four year old girl and i am honoured and privileged to be part of the Philippino nation

The reason to compare counties is to decide where to live for foreigners. I live in the Philippines and it is great for me.

one thing is for sure…when your a foreigner and your in the philippines,,,you will never get lost…while when in your thailand,,, for sure you will get lost..hope youve got me in there?..filipinos always have a real smiles in foreigner,,while in thailand its fake..filipinos love foreigners,thats why foreigner always feel the real hospitality and the warmness of the filipino…its not fake,,unlike in ……. another comment that i read is that filipinos spent to much comparing our country to other country???its wrong my friend,,its not a big deal to us comparing our country to other country…filipinos are not idiot.filipinos are educated…the good thing is that we filipinos are christian..were open minded.filipinos are brown skin,,perfectly created by god..not white not black…so the thihg is,,filipinos shouldnt be put down by any race,,because filipinos are perfect…

I’ve been to Thailand and i would say that Thailand is much more convenience in transportation and everything.

I agree with Michael. I’m a Filipina too. and its true, We wold love to be of service to foreigns who goes to the Philippines not for the money, but simply to show how the beautiful philippines is. Its a relaxing place that makes the environment HAPPY.

And Its true also that Fiipinos are happy people. We were surprised to be branded as HAPPY PEOPLE despite poverty. Another factor that philippines friendly and happy is the fact that anyone can speak and understand english. The filipinos can relate easily. To us foreigners are special people worth welcoming for. And we are open to different cultures. VALUE LIFE – a secret to hapiness.

I am a Filipino and was very sorry to read a part of your article most especially on modern technologies and infrastructures and the way we deal with tourist especially on our transportation system. I may be one of the millions of Filipinos who desires change in this system, however our government doesn’t have the full support over matters on tourism, that is why no matter how hard the Department of Tourism tries to advertise the Philippines to the world, still only a few come and appreciate our culture.

On the other hand, I admire you for putting a fair judgment on both countries. And you have made me even prouder of being a Filipino for admiring our HOSPITALITY and LOVE for PEOPLE. I for one, can attest to that. We value family ties, very much. And that enables us to survive all our challenges.

I guess the best way to fully enjoy the vibrant colors and hospitality that’s only FILIPINO is to find a local that can guide you to your destination. We would love to be of service to you — not for your money — but to show you how beautiful the Philippines is.

During 1989, I took my first trip to the Philippines with my then present girlfriend. The Filipinos are more friendly than the people here in Holland. Although conservative by nature,they are more open and polite than most other nations. For the last 18 years I have traveled between Amsterdam, London & Manila and been nowhere else.
The Philippines is an unique country (Republic) where East meets West making it multicultural. Thankfully it has not been (yet) saturated by the tourist industry. This is due to political instability and unrest, and a negative image world wide thanks to the media.

I think most expats living in the Philippines would agree that it’s good that the masses stay away out of fear, and end up in Thailand instead…

But, it’s a shame all the same for Thailand. Many years ago, before it became a big circus holiday camp, I would have given it 5 stars just like the Philippines…

I love philippines rather than thailand and that nobody can change me..i hate thai women becoz they are more on sex than love while filipina want love than sex. Ive been there both countries and must say thailand sucks for me.
